The SIGLA Series was a series of student-led interviews conducted at Future Generation Philippine International School exploring the backgrounds, interests, and talents of passionate teachers. I came up with this with the help of a few friends to showcase the arts in a school that was dominated by academics. Simply put, this series was for any teacher in FuGen who wanted a moment to share their passions to the school community. The pandemic (you know which one) halted the entire thing on its tracks, but it was totally worth it while it lasted!
The first and only teacher we were able to interview was a talented filmmaker who had a knack for pushing her students in the arts, which made her admirable. Approachable and just a chill person in general, I wanted to capture her simple vibe with the soft light and the yellow light reflecting from behind her while capitalizing on her filmmaking background with her pose and the lighting, all with the help of my friend who was the photographer.
